Guava Danish

Last night I slept at 5am.
I had company.
So many of them.

I woke up today, and had coffee
with a buddy
and a guava danish
while playback cafe kept playing
tunes from the sea of Ithaca.

And then I saw Kylian and Saka
wrestle for the bronze glory
until Jude claims it all for himself.

And then I stared at the sun-kissed photos
I took this week.
And then I had a poke bowl for dinner.

And then I spent time
doing nothing, noping and napping.
Then I faced the everlasting
and wrote this poem.
